Almotamar.net - Head of the General People's Congress (GPC) parliamentary bloc Sultan al-Barakani on Saturday accused the opposition Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) Party of playing a double track with regard to al-Houthi insurgency in Saada.

Al-Barakani remarks came at the parliament session today in response to remarks by the Islah MP Abdulrazzaq al-Hajri. Al-Barakani asked the Islah MP to reveal facts of what is going on in Saada as he was representative of the Islah bloc in the previous presidential committee entrusted with supervising the Doha agreement between the government and the Houthis. Al-Barakani also reminded of the parliament authorization to the government to decide the issue of Saada, affirming that it is the duty of the army to end the rebellion.
He said it is not permissible to have offences and tampering with the national issues.

On his part MP al-Hajri effused al-Barakani comment on the request of summoning the government to give clarification on what is going on in the Yemeni arena of events, accusing al-Barakani as being used to direct accusations to the opposition. He added he was entrusted by the President of the Republic and not the parliament which he described as unable.
