Almotamar.net - Meetings of the 8th session of Yemen-Chinese Joint Committee begin in Sana'a Monday. The meetings are chaired for the Yemeni side by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Kamal al-Jabri and for the Chinese side by Trade Minister. The Joint Committee meeting coincides with the date of the visit to Yemen by the Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping on Tuesday.

It is expected that the meetings of the Yemeni-Chinese Committee would result in signing documents of cooperation between the two countries in many fields, among them is an agreement on building a hospital in Sana'a as well as the agreement on activating agreements of cooperation previously signed by the two friendly countries.

Yemen's Foreign Minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi had discussed with the Chinese ambassador to Yemen arrangements for the Chinese Vice President visit to Yemen scheduled to begin on Tuesday. During the Chinese Vice President visit there would be the official inauguration of the Yemeni Foreign Ministry building offered as a gift from the Chinese government and people.

Chinese Vice President visit is the first by the Chinese Vice President who will be leading a big economic and commercial delegation composed of representatives of 100 Chinese companies in a number of fields.

The Yemeni ambassador to China Abdulmalik al-Malami had earlier said the Chinese Vice President would during his stay in Sana'a meet President Ali Abdullah Saleh and to hold talks with Yemen's Vice President Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi in addition to Prime Minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar and a number of Yemeni senior officials.

On the other hand sources at the Yemeni Investment Authority mentioned that during the visit the Authority would, in cooperation with the Chinese Council World Trade Promotion, hold an investment Yemeni-Chinese symposium on Wednesday and the participation of the visiting Chinese economic and trade delegation and many Yemeni businessmen. The symposium would be accompanied with holding an exhibition of catalogues and photos for informing on areas of trade and economic cooperation and investment of the two countries.
