Almotamar.net - Chairman of the constitutional committee in parliament Ali Abu Hlaiqa said the political parties are requested that on Sunday to present their candidates for the Supreme Commission for elections and Referendum (SCER) at the Sunday session devoted to voting on the draft amendments of the elections law and the choosing of members for the SCER otherwise the parliament would return to work according to the previous law.

Abu Hlaiqa said Saturday that if Sunday's session would be a one after overcoming all difficulties before accord and giving superiority to the national interest. With regard to the release of detainees over what was called the political nobility, he said the release would include the persons who are not proved to be involved in criminal acts but as for those who changed their political performance into perpetrating criminal acts they will be under responsibility of the judiciary.

26september website quoted Hlaiqa as saying the Yemeni judiciary is independent and acquittal or condemnation of any person cannot be done but by the judiciary and none can interfere in procedures of the judiciary.
