Almotamar Net - The German government has offered Yemen a financial grant of $24 million to help it overcome food crisis. The grant is allocated for helping poorest Yemenis for overcoming the food crisis and rise of prices, in addition to the German continual support for a long period that is allocated to promote development in areas of education, water and health. According to a press statement the German government desires to help Yemen in the field of poverty and food security as Yemen depends mainly on importing food stuffs from abroad. In the next three years the German government would support the programme of world food with $13 million and another million dollars for supporting activities of the programme in the fields of care for pregnant women, breastfeeding and protection of children under the age of five.

$1.5 million will be will be used for providing farmers with seeds and fertilizers in order to urge them to produce food and many kinds of food products in Yemen.
