By: Mohammed Taher - SANAA,, almotamar.-The second deputy of the General People's Congress (G{C) Dr Abdulkarim al-Iryani considered assailment of r opposition and endeavor against president Ali Abdullah Saleh personality as hostile and expresses its political bankruptcy, saying the parties of the JMP have resorted to attack the president in person and this is a sign of bankruptcy, especially that the claim to be patriotic parties seeking assumption pf power.


Dr al-Iryani said in a lecture at a training course for 400 GPC preachers that the opposition parties particularly those of the JMP have originally been members of the GPC and left it with the emergence of political plurality to establish other political parties and they denied all that we have done to them at that time.
He has added that now they accuse the GPC and promote that it has to achieve gains for the country. "The GPC was established with around one thousand members and presently its members are more than one million. If it has been unable to accomplish the achievements we see now, it would not have been able to reach this level and strength, "al-Iryani said. He added they preach and educate people by claming hat the GPC did not achieve equality of citizenship and we would like to ask what is the equal citizenship? All of us are equal in rights and duties but they allege there is distinction in this regard. He called on the participants in the training course that they should address the people with facts on the ground and to refute all those allegations and lies the JPC is promoting.
Dr al-Iryani pointed out that while these parties that accuse the GPC of inability, they themselves evade from the problems they experience and do not admit them, mentioning that he has read the JPC presidential candidate 's platform on terror for example, saying he did not find any mention about the word of extremism or terror. He put he question to the parties of the JMP on their stance concerning the terror that is tearing apart our society or whether they were owners of the idea and do not want to deem it as incorrect, adding we have terror and e world has terror by small groups deviant from the right path and it is not a general phenomenon but we have to protect ourselves from them and talk about this phenomenon.
About the JMP remarks mentioning that oil revenues this year will amount to more than on trillion riyals and that there is a shadow budget, confirming that there are no oil accounts that are set aside and they cannot prove there is one riyal put aside for illegitimate purposes. By this lie they want to say that the state counted the price of an oil barrel by $40 while its actual price is $70 and that the difference in price will go to some pockets. He explained that oil represent 80% of the state revenues and the price differences brought a hard currency asset exceeding $6.8 billion deposited at the Central Bank of Yemen.
Commenting on the Islah party claims of coming new price increases (doses), Al-Iryami denied the intention of issuing any new doses because we have no more subsidized goods except the diesel which is very important to the life of the people.
Dr al-Iryani addressed the 400 participants by asking them to spread in the villages and tell the truth to the people and that it is not a shame to admit our failures and talking about no possibility of rectifying the wrong is really a delusion. He said, "We in the GPC depend democracy in our dealing with the people and in dealing with our members because the GPC was founded on democracy and freedom of expression and we do not have the so-called democratic centralization.
