During his meeting Thursday with Chairman of the Federation Council of Russian Federal Assembly Sergei Maroon Mujawar renewed the Yemeni government call for the Russian companies to invest in Yemen, affirming they would get full encouragement and care and all guarantees and facilities in accordance with operative laws.

The Yemeni Prime Minister pointed out there are big opportunities for development of trade exchange between the two countries that should be used for the benefit of the two sides, he said the volume of trade exchanges is still law The Yemeni Prime Minister pointed out there are big opportunities for development of trade exchange between the two countries that should be used for the benefit of the two sides, he said the volume of trade exchanges is still law and did not go beyond $178 million which is incompatible with the level of the Yemeni Russian relations. Dr Mujawar also described the two countries' relations as strong and developing and has been deeper since the signing of first agreement for friendship and cooperation between the two countries 80 years ago.

The Premier then reviewed the course of development and challenges that Yemen has been witnessing whether at the democratic level or the comprehensive development, in addition to economic, administrative and financial reforms.

On his part the Russian official affirmed his country's keenness on developing and enhancement of cooperation with Yemen in differe3nt fields especially parliamentary, economic and investment. The Russian official also pointed out the democratic and developmental evolutions in Yemen, praising the trend of enhancing people's participation included in the President initiative for the reformation of the political system through the proposals of conducting constitutional amendments aimed at introducing the system of two parliamentary chambers.
