Almotamar.net - Participants in the a workshop on electoral challenges in Yemen recommended Thursday the enhancement of the role of the judiciary and the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum SCER) as well as the parties and organisations of civil society in observation the progress of elations at all of their stages through challenges presented during elections in order to improve the electoral process in the field.

Chairmen and leaderships of appeals courts pointed out today at conclusion of the workshop organised by the SCER the necessity of developing the cooperation and coordination between the local authority and parties and civil society organisations on the4 one hand the committees for revising voter records and judicial authorities that consider electoral challenges of the revising and am for the success of revising and amending voter records and reaching a voter record free from flaws and mistakes.

The Minister of Justice Dr Ghazi al-Aghbari confirmed that early judicial observation is one of the most important stages in the electoral process. He pointed out that the workshop constituted an opportunity for exchange of ideas and discussing and studying them between the commission and the judiciary.
