Almotamar.net - The General Committee of the general People’s Congress GPC has on Thursday approved the 5th of next May a date for holding the second session of the GPC’s 7th General Conference and holding the 3rd session of the GPC Major Permanent Committee on the 4th of next may.

The decision was taken in the General Committee meeting today chaired by President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the President of the GPC. The meeting discussed preparations on the holding of the second ordinary session of the 7th General Conference and convening the 3rd session of the GPC Major Permanent Committee.

The Committee stressed the importance the second session of the 7th General Conference coming out with significant resolutions enhancing the march of development construction and service of the society.
The meeting has also considered a strategy of activity and strategy of the GPC in the next period as well as vision and orientations of the GPC on political and electoral reforms, the political dialogue and organizational work.

The meeting has also considered several national developments and confirmed the importance of large-scale national alignment to stand as one rank in the face of destructive activities carried out by some outlaw elements and those violating the constitution. Those elements and those behind them are targeting the homeland and its unity as well as stability and spreading the culture of hatred among the people. Emphasis was also put on the importance of keeping the national constants, not to violate them or the attempt to encroach them affirming that the homeland with all of its people and political and social forces would be on the watch for anyone trying to impinge upon the homeland security, stability and munity as well as its national constants or those trying to violate the constitution and the law.

The General Committee meeting also discussed many of the issues on its agenda and took suitable decisions about them.
