Almotamar.net - Editor in Chief of Almotamar Net news websites Abdulmalik al-Fuhaidi reiterated Monday Yemen’s early warnings to the international community concerning the growing of incidents of piracy incidents offshore Somalia. H also indicated to Yemen’s repeated calls for the international community for the formation of an international force to fight the piracy in cooperation with international forces and the countries overlooking the Red Sea and the Arab Gulf and its senses of the danger of the international presence.

In an interview to Al-Jazeera satellite channel on Monday evening al-Fuhaidi considered liberation of 4 ships that were exposed to seizure by pirates by units of the Yemeni navy forces and coast guard and the arrest of 11somali pirates a few days ago is a confirmation on capability of Yemeni forces of protecting its regional waters and the Yemeni sovereignty and within the frame of the international law that prohibits piracy.

While calling the attention to Yemen’s inability individually of facing the growing piracy acts in the international waters, al-Fuhaidi said it was natural for the Yemeni naval forces to act quickly for confronting and repelling aggression of the Somali pirates on Yemen’s regional waters.
