Almotamar.net, Saba - The cabinet discussed, in its weekly meeting held on Tuesday and chaired by Prime minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar, the package of executive program of public works and road projects funded from abroad.

The report clarified that the total allocations to this sector have reached $ 928 distributed on road projects in Taiz, Sana'a, Hudeidah and Sana'a-Amran highway.

The cabinet highlighted touchable improvement in the ministry of public works and its way of managing the projects and directed the ministry to prepare national strategy to roads to include defining the country's priorities in main and sub-roads.

The government recommended giving chances to private sector to invest in this field and setting up regulations and measures organizing this process.

The Cabinet approved, in its meeting on Tuesday holding an extraordinary meeting on Saturday to discuss Yemeni labour employment in Gulf markets.

The meeting will deal with a vision presented by Minster of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi on Yemeni labour employment in the GCC labour markets.

Minister al-Arhabi said, in a workshop held on Sunday with European Commission (EC) over building the state, there are promising opportunities to Yemeni qualified and non qualified labourers in the Gulf markets.

He highlighted the decision of Gulf Consultative Summit held recently in Riyadh to hire Yemeni qualified labourers in the Gulf markets. However, al-Arhabi noted that 80 percent of existing labour in these markets is not qualified; a matter enhances chances of employing Yemeni labourers.
