Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen has on Friday reiterated Yemen�s standing by Somalia in what consolidates its security and stability and peace and realizes aspirations of the Somali people.

While receiving today a telephone call from the Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed , president Saleh called on the United Nations organisations and the international community , particularly the United States of America, and the European Union , the African Union , the Organisation of the Islamic Conference and the Arab League to support the legitimate government in Somalia and backing up its efforts for establishment of peace and fighting the acts of terror and sea piracy that are carried out in the international waters offshore Somalia and threaten security and interests of all.

During the phone conversation the Somali President informed President Saleh on developments of the situations in Somalia and the efforts for the establishment of peace, stability and security in Somalia and reconstruction of the Somali state�s institutions.

The President of Somalia praised stands of President Saleh for the supporting of Somalia and standing by it for the good and interest of the Somali people. The two leaders also discussed bilateral relations and developments in the Horn of Africa region.
