Almotamar.net, Saba - Yemeni-Bahraini talks were held in Sana’a on Wednesday, co-chaired by Chairman of Yemen's Shura Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani and the Speaker of Bahrain's Shura Council Ali Ben Saleh Al Saleh.

The two officials affirmed the deep-rooted relations of Yemen and Bahrain, noting the development the mutual relations witnessed under support of the two political leaderships of the two countries.

The talks dealt with the promising potentials of cooperation between the two countries in economic, investment and trade fields and chances of mutual availing from the two countries' experiences in financial areas and others.

The two sides talked about the positive impact of mutual visits of officials in the two countries on the political, economic and parliamentary levels, praising the good results of the latest visit of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Bahrain.

They confirmed the need of exploring available opportunities at the regional level and exploiting the Arab financial surplus in investments inside Arab countries including Yemen, particularly after the shocking impact of the global financial crisis on the Arab investments.

Abdul-Ghani praised the supportive positions of Bahrain to development efforts in the country, which emerged obviously during London Donor Conference and its supportive position for Yemen’s joining of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

He noted the current cooperation between the two councils in light of the protocol signed between them for exchanging experiences.

Moreover, Abdul-Ghani briefed his Bahraini counterpart on the developments in Yemen at all levels, indicating Yemen's concern about the two issues of terrorism and piracy which impacted negatively interests of Yemen, countries of the region and the whole world.

Overcoming the piracy is related to stability of the situation in Somalia, a matter which affirmed the priority of supporting the Somali government and enhancing its abilities to face the current threats, Abdul-Ghani affirmed.

For his part, the Bahraini official renewed his country's supportive position to Yemen as a real partner for the GCC's states and its ultimate support to Yemen's unity and stability.

Al-Saleh voiced his country's interest in the developments in the region, which is turned to be a tension source due to continued the Israeli occupation and delaying the solution of the Palestinian cause.

He affirmed his country's support for stability of Iraq, Sudan and Somalia, confirming the need for common Arab determination to encounter all these challenges.

Al-Saleh concluded his speech with inviting Abdul-Ghani to visit Bahrain.
