Almotamar.net, Saba - Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi headed on Tuesday for New York, USA, take part in the 64th Round of the General Assembly meeting of the United Nations.

The Minister said that Yemen's speech in the meeting would focus on the internal situations and the government efforts in the political, development and administration reforms.

Al-Qirbi said that the speech would show the Yemeni attitudes towards current Arab issues, topped by the developments in Palestine, Iraq, Somalia and Sudan, in addition to the reforms in UN system.

On the sidelines of the meetings, al-Qirbi said that he would participate in further meetings of Arab Foreign Ministers, Organization of Islamic Conference Foreign Ministers and Foreign Ministers' meeting of the Group of 77 (G-77).

He will hold several talks with UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon, UN Under-Secretary-General for humanitarian Affairs, Russian Foreign Minister, assistants of US Secretary of State.

The meetings aim to enhance the existing bilateral relations between Yemen and each of UN, Russia and the USA as well as discussing several international and regional issues of common concerns, FM said.
