The symposium was held over two days and was organized by Amran University and 26 September newspaper , in coincidence with celebrations of the revolution of September and October and 30y November , the Independence Day.

At the conclusion of the symposium the Deputy Premier, the Minister of Local Administration Dr Rashad al �Alimi presented an interruption which he began with conveying greetings of President Ali |Abdullah Saleh to the participants in the symposium held on the occasion of the revolution celebrations and approach of Eid Al-Adha.

Al-Alimi said that the President gives great attention to scientific studies and researches since the people have chosen him for leadership of the homeland and under his leadership the goals drawn up by revolutionaries of September and October have been achieved .

Al-Alimi wondered about those calls that come today after the passage of 47 years of the revolution, with the aim of returning to before the revolution of September and October and also talked on the internal and external variables that made those forces and sick elements raise those calls.

He said , " I think that the generation that lived the age of the unity and part of challenges faced the Yemeni revolution , lack of the objective valuation of the Yemeni revolution progress as well as the future vision and the challenges that face the Yemeni society at present. "

Dr al-Alimi pointed out that the task of researchers and academics and scientific research sentries is represented by drawing up a strategy proceeding from a group of bases related to the history of before the revolution and the tragedies the Yemeni people were experiencing under the imamate rule and under the colonialist system and consequently during the stages of the revolution and the challenges that accompanied it leading to the stage of transferring from revolutionary legitimacy to the constitutional legitimacy.

He affirmed that the President of the republic is the first who called for dialogue in Yemen's cotemporary history culminating that by the national reunification, establishment of the democratic society and legitimacy of polling boxes instead of resorting t arms.

Dr al-Alimi added that what happens in Saada or some calls by those of small projects in some districts of the southern provinces, all aim to return the homeland to come out from democratic legitimacy and to seek arbitration of the gun that was the characteristic of political conflicts before the unity.

He pointed out to Yemen's suffering as a result of terrorist acts that aimed to damage the economic, investment and tourist interests of the homeland, confirming that terrorism is a real crisis that affected Yemen's reputation, security and stability.
