Almotamar.net, Saba - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar is to lead a delegation to the London Conference on Yemen to be held next Wednesday, the state-run 26sep.net has reported.

The delegation will include Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs Rashad al-Alimi.

The London Conference, scheduled to be held on January 28th, was called by British Prime Minter Gordon Brown. About 21 countries are expected to attend the event.

The conference will seek to encourage the donors to help the Yemeni government to combat terrorism. It aims at improving political and economic reforms in Yemen.

The conference will be attended by several countries, including the United State, the Gulf Cooperation Council's states, Jordan, Turkey, Russia, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Canada, the United Nations, the World Bank, the Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council Abdel Rahman Al-Attiyah and UN high Commissioner.

The sources said that the conference will be opened by Mujawar and Brown.

The international meeting's agenda will include a speech by Mujawar in which he will ask more support to Yemen to face economic challenges and al-Qaeda threat in the country.

Both Prime Ministers are expected to hold a press conference by the end of the conference in order to review the outcomes of the meeting.
