Almotamar.net - Security authorities have recently arrested more than 40 persons of those involved in smuggling refugees and infiltrators from the African Horn region to the Yemeni coasts. The event comes as part of the efforts exerted by security apparatuses for limiting influx of Africans from the Horn of Africa to Yemen.

The Yemeni interior ministry said Thursday security apparatuses in Taiz province arrested today one person wanted for issues of snuggling refugees and infiltrators from the Horn of Africa region to Yemen, indicating that the person, 50, was caught with his car in Al-Tazia district over his involvement in a number of issues of smuggling the Africans to Yemen.

The ministry has confirmed that security apparatuses chase at present other accused persons smuggling Africans with the aim of illegitimate acquiring of money disregarding consequences of those crimes on Yemen.

These measures come in the wake of the interior ministry announcement of directives to security apparatuses and coast guard I the coastal provinces by closing the main waterways to the infiltrators into the Yemeni territories from the Horn of Africa region.
