Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Thursday with the ceasefire committees and discussed progress on the implementation of the ceasefire deal with the Houthi group.

Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi attended the meeting that came after the committees were reshaped, with lawmakers eliminated and Shura council members kept.

Obstacles to implementing the deal were discussed as well as the government says the group is reluctant to fully stick to the ceasefire.

Reshaping the ceasefire committees was a national necessity because the lawmakers should resume their jobs in Parliament, Saleh told the committees.

He urged to do more to bring peace to the region and pave the way for the refugees to return to their homes. The government has no choice but peace and preserving the public security, he assured.

Last Sunday, President Saleh met with the committees ordered the committees on the border areas and Almalaheedh district, Saada, be one committee and the lawmaker members resume their jobs in Parliament.
