Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Friday in the Libyan city of Surt heading the Yemeni delegation to the Arab summit at its 22nd round which will start on March 27.

He was received by the Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi as well as high profile Libyan officials.

Upon arrival, President Saleh expressed, in a news briefing, his pleasure to take part in this Arab summit in Libya.

"This summit will be held under important conditions topped by the Israeli entity and Judaize the Islamic sanctities in Palestine as well as the continuation of settlement expansion which goes against the international legislation," Saleh said.

He added that "we wish that the Surt Arab summit becomes the conciliation summit to correct any misconceptions in the inter-Arab relations in order to serve national interests and supreme goals."

Undoubtedly, there are many hopes that the current summit be the kick-off start for an active Arab work coping with all changes witnessed in the world and to respond to aspirations of peoples of the Arab nation and confront challenges facing the Arab national security at different levels, president continued.

He noted that there are many Arab initiatives raised to the summit out of which the Yemeni initiative which aims to improve the Arab joint work.
