Almotamar.net - On the sidelines of the 22nd Arab summit being held in the Libyan city of Surt, President Ali Abdullah Saleh held a meeting on Saturday evening with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad.

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and horizons for developing them in addition to the topics on agenda of the Arab summit and coordination of stances towards them for realizing the success of the summit in the way serving the Arab nation and meeting its aspirations. The two leaders also discussed ways for coordinating efforts of the two countries for serving the nation�s issues and strengthening the Arab joint action.

Saleh and Al-Assad also discussed Arab developments particularly the Palestinian issue developments in the light of the dangerous Israeli escalation.
