Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh said on Wednesday that the time now is for gaining information and following up the up-to-date developments in the world.

During a speech he delivered in the graduation ceremony of first batch of doctors and engineering of the College of Aviation and Air Defense, the President Saleh urged the graduates to keep themselves busy acquiring military sciences and knowledge the country could avail from.

In the past, we were sending our students to study abroad, and awaiting their return home. Currently, about 28 batch of fighter pilot and officers of air defense have been gradated from this college, Saleh said.

"We really pay more attention to the military corporation, which is on its shoulder maintaining the security and stability of the nation", the president said, adding that the country's security and stability are the bases to reach the comprehensive development.

"The more the country secured and stable, the more it prospers", Saleh said, citing that before 30 years the capital Sana'a and all Yemeni cities were villages and now they are big cities with continues population growth and development projects in various infrastructure areas.

He said that enhancing the country's security would encourage the expatriates and investors exploit their capitals in Yemen.

Scientific and academic achievement does not only measure by what the students received from theoretical sciences, but by its practical and applicable results on the ground, the president said.

The President prompted the commanders and leaders to take their responsibilities and to follow up the entire affaires of the military corporation.
