Almotamar.net - Yemen’s foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi considered that President Ali Abdullah Saleh to be the first of visitors to Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak to ask about his health and congratulate him on his return after submitted to surgery in Germany recently, as reflecting the distinguished relations between the two Presidents and the historical relations between the two countries and peoples.

In a statement to Yemeni and Egyptian media outlets in Sharm el Sheikh on Monday the foreign minister expressed appreciation of the special relations between the two peoples and the two political leaderships and clarified that the talks held between Presidents Saleh and Mubarak concentrated on bilateral relations and cooperation in all areas in addition to reviewing results of the latest Arab summit in the Libyan city of Surt as well as discussion of developments of the situations in the Palestinian arena and efforts of establishing peace in the region.

Al-Qirbi clarified that that talks of President Saleh with President Mubarak and with the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Nadhif also dealt with means of enhancing economic cooperation especially ways of developing trade exchange in the light of the noticeable growth in this area during the two past t years.

Al-Qirbi also affirmed Yemen’s keenness on attracting Egyptian businessmen and investors.

Al-Qirbi also touched on the existing cooperation in security and fighting terror areas
