Almotamar.net, Saba - Yemeni-Jordanian talks were held on Monday in the capital of Jordan, Amman, co-chaired by President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Jordanian King Abdullah II.

The two leaders discussed the brotherly relations and the cooperation areas, including health, fisheries, security and military areas, in addition to issues that would be put on the table of the Yemeni-Jordanian committee next meeting to be held in Sana'a.

The talks also dealt with the developments of the current Arab conditions, in forefront of which the developments at the Palestinian arena and the coordination of efforts to activate the Arab solidarity in light of what has been approved by the recent Arab summit held in Libyan city of Surt on referring the initiative of Yemen to activate joint Arab work to a committee consisted of a number of Arab leaders.

King Abdullah II welcomed President Saleh and the accompanying delegation, noting the specialty of relations between the two brotherly countries.

He voiced Jordan's keenness to boost horizons of cooperation with Yemen in the different fields, affirming Jordan's supportive position to the security, stability and unity of Yemen.

For his part, President Saleh praised the level of Yemeni- Jordanian relations, which witness continuous development, expressing Yemen's appreciation to Jordan' leadership, government and people for their fraternal supportive positions to Yemen in all circumstances.

President Saleh alluded to the existing cooperation between the two countries at the political, economic, health, security and military areas, valuing the role played by Jordanian experts in the training of the armed forces in Yemen.

He confirmed Yemen's interest in expanding the prospects of joint cooperation so as to serve the interests of both countries and both peoples.

Furthermore, the two leaders held a closed meeting to complete the discussion of issues that concern the two countries and the Arab nation.
