almotamar.net - The political advisor to the President of the Republic, Dr Abdul-Karim al-Eryani emphasized ,” The voice of science and knowledge rises above sounds of the transient beneficiary interest , especially that we are passing circumstances at which the sounds of politics are rising higher than the sound of reason and reasonability.

Addressing the scientific conference organized by the Saba Strategic Studies Centre in Yemen on Monday al-Eryani clarified that the meeting is highly important not just regarding the premises and topics to be discussed at the conference but also due to its representing a scientific, research and academic openness on the economic, social and political surrounding, on the one hand openness of the decision-makers on the search and academic institutions on the other hand.

Dr al-Eryany indicated to the significance of the papers presented at the conference and their dealing with issues of high importance and presents themselves as challenges that should be given due discussion and research.

For his part the chairman of the Centre Dr Hussein al-Omari said the conference is being held in coincidence with Yemen’s celebration of the anniversary of its reunification on 22 May 1990, amid developments seen in Yemen in different political, economic and social areas.

The conference is to discuss 17 research papers divided over four premises: the geo-strategy of the national security, democratic development in Yemen, partnership between the civil society organisations and the state and issues of economy and environment.
