Almotamar.net - Assistant Secretary General of the General People’s Congress (GPC) for Political and External Relations Affairs Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani , who is leading a Yemeni official and popular delegation in Libya , met Friday evening Rafie al-Madani, the executive manager of Arab-African non-governmental organizations forum , discussing with him bilateral relations of the two countries and peoples.

The meeting reviewed developments of the Libyan and Yemeni relations in different areas and ways of enhancing them.

The two Yemeni and Libyan officials have also tackled in their meeting he resolutions adopted at the Arab summit held in the Libyan city of Surt relating to approval l of the two Yemeni and Libyan initiatives and the way of achieving contents of the two initiatives concerning the establishment of the Arab Union.

The two sides also discussed issues related to the civil society in the two countries and ways of developing relations of the organizations in the two countries. The two sides affirmed that this meeting would be an important stage in the joint civil work.

The Libyan official al-Madani emphasized his country’s stand by Yemen’s people and their unity, security and stability.
