Almotamar Net - Security chief of Shabwa province, Yemen, General Ahmed al-Maqdashi has on Thursday confirmed the death of five Yemeni soldiers and the wounding of another in a surprise attack launched by al-Qaeda terrorists that sought help from elements of the separatist movement for carrying out the operation on Thursday morning. Genera al-Maqdashi Almotamar.net that al-Qaeda elements, in cooperation with sabotage elements targeted an army patrol in the centre of Ataq city, killing 5 soldiers and wounding a sixth while the patrol was on duty keeping security and stability. The attackers used machine-guns and medium weapons.

The security chief added that security apparatuses launched large-scale investigations for arresting the terrorists that fled the areas towards some known areas and they would hunt down to send them to court.
