Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Wednesday a cable of condolences to President of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the death of Ruler of Ra's al-Khaima Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed al- Qasimi.

Also, President Saleh sent a similar cable to Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al-Qasimi and his brothers and family, expressing his deep sorrow and sympathy with the family of al-Qasimi.

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al- Khaimah passed away on Wednesday in Ras al-Khaimah at the age of 92. He had ruled the northern emirate of Ras al-Khaimah for more than 60 years, dating back to before the UAE's inception in1971. He had been in hospital for several months.
