Almotamar.net - The Yemeni Political advisor to the President of the Republic Dr Abdul Karim al-Eryany has affirmed that Yemen is able to put an end to al-Qaeda individually , pointing out that the Americans demanded many times to take part in “ land operations for chasing al-Qaeda” and their demand was rejected categorically and indicated that the Yemeni-American relations are good and normal.

In an interview to France 24 TV Channel, Dr al-Eryany clarified, in his response to a question on Yemen being changed into seminary for al-Qaeda, the media magnified the size of al-Qaeda in Yemen.

He said,” No doubt al-Qaeda is present in Yemen and it commits acts all of us know them but I think its size and the area of land its works on is not in the form being pictured.”

Al-Eryany also clarified, “The problem is that the group of al-Qaeda does not live alone as al-Qaeda. They live with their sons and women, with their sheep and camels and we cannot strike the al-Qaeda without harming the civilians.”

Dr al-Eryany refused picturing the situation in Yemen as what is happening in Pakistan or Afghanistan saying “This is beyond imagination.”

In his reply to a question on whether the calmness in the south means that the stage of political congestion has been exceeded, Dr al-Eryany said that the Movement was exaggerated and put in a frame larger than its own, “but it cannot be denied there are legitimate political and economic demands that are being dealt with as much as possible. “

Dr al-Eryany also talked on the economic situation, the issue of al-Houthi and the political dialogue with the opposition.
