Almotamar.net, Saba - Yemeni and Malaysian officials have discussed trade cooperation relations between their countries.

In their meeting held IN Kuala Lumpur , Yemen's ambassador to Malaysia Abdullah al-Muntasir and Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry, Dato' Sri Mustapha Mohamed confirmed the importance of both countries� participations in international trade fairs and special promotions for investment and tourism opportunities.

They also discussed fields of technical cooperation between the two countries and ways of Yemen�s benefiting from Malaysia�s experiences in preparing plans and programs on industrial development.

It is worth mentioning that Yemeni investments in Malaysia are first among Middle East countries when Hayel Saeed Companies Group inaugurated in 1989 its trade and industrial activity in production vegetable cooking oils and food industry in Malaysia.

In 2010 there were joint activities by the two countries such as holding the Malaysian-Yemeni festival in the Yemeni capital Sana�a in March 2010 and holding the symposium on exploring investment opportunities in Yemen held in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur at the end of June 2010, where more than 130 Malaysian trade personalities took part in it in addition to official meetings by the two countries� businessmen delegations.
