Almotamar.net - Sana’a- Assistant Secretary General of the General People’s Congress (GPC) Dr Ahmed Ubeid Bin Daghr on Wednesday described the visit to he United Arab Emirates (UAE) by the delegation of the GPC and the National democratic Alliance Parties (NDAP) in Yemen and its metering with the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states , in their extraordinary meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to complete discussion of the situations in Yemen ,in the framework of he contents of the GCC initiative to resolve the Yemeni crisis , as successful.

Upon his, and the delegation chaired by the Political advisor of the President of the Republic Dr Abdul Karim al-Eryani return to Sana’a on Wednesday, Dr Bin Daghr said, “ The discussions conducted by the delegation of the GPC and the NDAP with the GCC Foreign Ministers were successful and constructive.”

The Yemeni news agency Saba has quoted Dr Bin Daghr as saying, ‘Those discussions were focused on the GCC initiative for solving the Yemeni crisis in its general fields or its steps.”

He added that all have discussed in the ways and means that would realise stability for Yemen and meanwhile allow for discussion of ways and means of the transfer of power peacefully.

Dr Bin Daghr mentioned, “In fact the discussions did not go beyond the general frame of the GCC initiative,” noting that there are multi opinion about the topics of the discussion but they were concentrated on the essence of the initiative and reflected keenness of all and their conscious realization of the significance of preserving Yemen’s unity, stability and security as it is considered as part of the region’s security and future.

Foreign Ministers of the GCC states have expressed their thanking and appreciation for the delegation of the GPC and the NDAP for their response and presence in Abu Dhabi in response to the efforts being exerted by the GCC which are aimed at reaching a solution to the Yemeni crisis as soon as possible.

In a press release following the conclusion of their extraordinary meeting held Tuesday evening in Abu Dhabi with he GPC and NDAP delegation, presided over by the UAE foreign Minister, the chairman of the GCC Ministerial Council Sheikh Abdullah a bin Zaid Al Nahyan, the GCC Foreign Ministers said during the meeting there was exchange of viewpoints on the GCC initiative.

The press release said the dialogue was constructive and reflected the desire of the two sides for reaching to an agreement achieving aspirations of the Yemeni people for secure, stable and dignified life.

The press release added, “There has been also emphasis on exerting more efforts to ensure preservation of security and stability of the Yemeni Republic.”

The press release pointed out that the GCC Ministerial Council has listened to explanation by Chairman of the GPC and NDAP delegation on developments of the of the Yemeni crisis and the vision of the GPC concerning the current situation in Yemen and how to come out with an accord solution for the crisis through the paper presented by the delegation.
