Almotamar.net - Sana’a – A statement issued by the millions of the sons of Yemen , taking part in the popular marches in the capital Sana’a and all provinces of the country on the Reconciliation Friday , read out by Head of the Information Office of the General People’s Congress (GPC) Tareq al-Shami , asked the brethren and friends loving Yemen and keen on healing the rift and preserving safety , stability and unity of Yemen , particularly the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states , t direct their endeavors to ensure positive dialogue among all parties to come out of the crisis.

‘’At the time when we express alignment of the Yemeni people by President Ali Abdullah Saleh , who attained the presidency seat via competitive, free, honest and transparent presidential elections , we renew our emphasis on the principle of national dialogue to come out of this crisis in accordance with the initiatives presented by the President in the framework of the constitution and the constitutional legitimacy .We reject attempts a coup against democracy by a minority that wants to impose its conspiratorial wishes against the majority of Yemeni people and democracy, we refuse attempts of a coup against democracy by a minority intending to dictate its conspiratorial intentions on the Yemeni people and democratic majority. It is a minority led by a group of Moslem Brotherhood and their partners in the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) and elements of al-Qaeda terrorists and elements of rebellion and secessionism .They are trying to swoop down power and overturn the constitution and democracy ‘’ the statement said.

Moreover, the statement absolutely rejected all acts of aggression, violence, sabotage and culture of hatred exercised by the JMP, the elements of extremism and terror that exploit the sit-ins squares to frighten people, disrupt everyday life of people and disrupt public and political life. They are trying to push the country towards political and social conflict outside the democratic process. It is an obvious coup against democratic institution, constitutional legitimacy and electoral process.

The statement added that millions of Yemeni participants in ‘’Reconciliation Friday ’’, emphasised preservation of the will of the people of Yemen owner of the power and its source. The will which was expressed in the presidential and local elections in 2006. Every Friday here millions of people expressed their rejection of coup against the constriction. The people are seeking for improved living of citizens demanding for more economic and political reforms but in the framework of constitution and fighting poverty and unemployment to create appropriate climates for investments, development of the political system to meet aspirations of Yemen people.

The statement said that the sons of Yemen stressed that there is no way to talk about transition and peaceful transfer of power outside the framework of constitution, rejecting the coup attempts .The people have became more aware of their national interests than any time before and willing to defend and stand against all conspirators at home and abroad as well.

The statement emphasized the responsibility of army and security to defend democratic and development accomplishments, as well as safety, unity and security of the homeland. The statement again called on all the sons of Yemen to lineup with options of the majority of Yemen people and to stand up to all those the homeland.
