Almotamar.net - Ali Abdullah Saleh, chairman of the General People's Congress (GPC), received Mr. Sidrek Shafaizer, Chief of the International Committee Mission of the Red Cross. The meeting discussed the ICRC humanitarian activities in Yemen in order to provide services in the areas affected by conflict armed.
Shafaizer confirmed that International Committee almost has 250 activist disrupted among many Yemeni governorate like Sana'a, Aden, Taiz, Sa'ada, and Dalea.
For his part, Saleh appreciated the International Committee efforts especially in Damaj. For GPC, Saleh confirmed that their cadres will cooperate with the committee and overcome the difficulties in front of humanitarian efforts carried out by the mission. In the end of the meeting, Shafaizer provided some reports and models of aid issued by the International Committee, as well as a symbolic gift from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
