by Carla Moore - Music fans will soon be able to hear new music from new artists on M-Buzz by mobile device manufacturer Sony Ericsson.
M-Buzz is a website that will promote the music of new and developing artists, offering customers the chance to download full-track music onto their Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The site will also feature videos, biographies, performance schedules and other content. M-Buzz (www.m-buzz.com) will go live on October 2.
Sony Ericsson has also signed a distribution agreement with music publishing company Sony/ATV Music Publishing. M-Buzz will showcase a limited number of Sony/ATV artists and bands each month.
The first phones offering M-Buzz will be the W850 and W950 Walkman phones, scheduled to ship in European, Asian and Latin American markets during the second half of 2006. At launch, M-BUZZ will feature the following artists: Kish Mauve, Embassy, Dirty Perfect, FKLV, Iggy, The Head Set, Bobby Kray, Anjulie, Lights and Monte*Rosa.
