almotamar.net - An official government source confirmed on Sunday that the government pays special attention to addressing the land issues in the southern provinces.

The source explained that the executive procedures would start during the next period for the Cabinet's decision issued at its meeting last week on approving what has been reached by the Southern Lands Committee.

The cabinet approved on Wednesday, in its weekly meeting, to take recommendations of the Southern Lands Committee regarding the lands cases in Hadramout governorate, totaled at 4304.

It also approved the proposed solutions by the Committee concerning land cases in Abyan governorate.

The cabinet urged the General Authority for Lands and Urban Planning branch in Abyan to enable 3460 persons members of residential committees receive their lands based on the official contracts they have.

The government source affirmed the state's keenness to adopt and implement all the decisions and measures that would give back rights to their owners as part of its commitment to the implementation of a just and comprehensive solution to the South issue.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Khaled Bahah issued two decisions No. (419 and 420) for the year 2014 forming two committees to be tasked with preparing two executive matrixes for the national dialogue outcomes relating each of the South and Sa'ada issues.
